Our office gives you our tenant representation agreement to review and sign, and then you complete our rental application in our client portal and submit it for office review. If a broker from another office represents you, you do not sign our agreement: your broker sends the application for you. Under New York law, the only charge allowed for a rental application is the credit and background check, and it can't be more than $20 or the actual cost, whichever is less.
